Pure West Radio Staff Meeting – Summary Minutes
Date: Thursday, 29th May
Time: 6:00 PM – 6:50 PM
1. Welcome & Housekeeping
· Meeting chaired by Pure West Radio management.
· Attendees asked to mute microphones and save questions for the end.
· Meeting was recorded and made available in the Power Room.
2. New Staff Introduction
· Alex Robertson (aka Robzy) introduced as the new Sales Executive.
· Will work alongside Ali in the commercial team.
3. Brand Update
· New slogan launched: 'Your Pembrokeshire, Your Station'.
· Brand refresh aligns with Pure West Radio’s DAB rollout.
· Marketing materials updated to reflect this branding.
4. Summer Marketing Campaigns
· Launch of promotional car stickers and merchandise giveaways.
· Billboard campaign confirmed at various Pembrokeshire venues.
· Logo remains unchanged; new slogan implemented.
5. Pure West Radio Roadshow
· Mathew Rickard announced a summer roadshow across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
· Outside broadcasts planned for each town with local engagement.
· Volunteers encouraged to support logistics and local coordination.
6. Technical & Studio Upgrades
· New server installation planned for 14th June to improve continuity.
· Studio One to be upgraded with grant funding.
· Website migration completed with minor issues being resolved.
7. News & Social Media
· News content undergoing review with support from Fiona.
· Platform-specific content strategies being tested across Facebook, TikTok, and the website.
· Improved audience targeting based on social media insights.
8. Signal Coverage & OFCOM Liaison
· Challenges with signal strength in North and South Pembrokeshire discussed.
· Efforts underway to acquire 107.5 FM frequency under a community license.
· OFCOM engagement ongoing to adjust DAB power and transmitter direction.
9. Open Call to Questions
At the end of the meeting, the floor was opened for questions. Attendees were encouraged to raise any remaining points or clarifications needed based on the topics discussed. Responses were addressed as time allowed, with any unanswered questions to be followed up via internal communication or the Power Room.
