Safely Boarded:

After her interview with Toby, Ffion left very excited to get to her first night stay in Southampton before boarding on Saturday Morning.

Ffion and her Mum Paula are safely boarded and will be giving us regular updates on her trip of a lifetime....

Day 1 - at Sea

Day 1 Update:

"Yesterday was a day at sea, was sunny but quite breezy on the decks!

Spent the day making the most of the food, getting some sun outside and playing bingo! Then it was the formal evening which meant a glass of fizz and some posh food!

We've just arrived in very sunny Stavanger this morning, brekkie done and will be heading off shortly for the days activities."

Day 2 - Lysefjord

Day 2 Update:

"Today we spent the day in Stavanger, we were treated with the weather, perhaps even having a tad too much sun!

I went on a RIB ride through the Lysefjord in the morning, looking at gorgeous scenery, a waterfall and Pulpit rock from below, whilst mum had a mooch around town.

We then took a bus to visit the sword monument and I had a quick dip at the beach there, it was a bank holiday today in Norway, so the place was packed!

Once back in the port, we visited the Christmas shop and bought some compulsory Norwegian merch! We've set sail this evening, and will be arriving in Olden tomorrow morning."

Day 3 - Boat Tour

Day 3 Update

"Today we arrived in Olden, we had an early start to catch the boat sailing in through the Fjords, and were treated with some gorgeous views!
We had a little look around the port, before heading on a boat tour to Loen lake and Kjenndal glacier. On returning to the port I had a quick swim in the fjord before getting on the boat for departure... We watched some of the sail away and had a lovely (informal) send away from some locals in boats with a trumpet! We're at sea overnight and tommorow we'll arrive in Haugesund!"

Day 4 - Haugesund

Day 4 Update

"Today we were in Haugesund, we didn't book any excursions, instead we got plenty of steps in (walking just over 8 miles) into town and out along the coast to the 'Rising tides' monument, and had a very chilly swim as well!

This evening, we paid extra to have a Norwegian tasting menu on board, which was lovely! We're now on the way to our last stop in Norway, Kristiansand."

Day 5 - Kristiansand

Day 5 Update

"Today was our last stop in Norway, Kristiansand. We hadn't booked any excursions, the plan was to visit the beach for a final Norwegian swim, but the thunder, lightning and heavy downpours made us re-think (it was sunny when we set off)

We visited the local fish market and had a wander around the town instead.

Tomorrow is a sea day as we are now heading back to Southampton.
