When the people of Pembrokeshire first discovered that an adorable little baby tiger had been born at the Manor Wildlife Park near Tenby, their hearts were well and truly smitten.
But until today the county had no idea whether little Zaza was a boy or a girl.
Now, following a visit by the park’s vets on Monday morning, head keeper Kim Wilkins has confirmed that Zaza is most definitely a girl.
Zaza, who is now eight weeks old, she is proving to be a greedy little cub and is starting to enjoy solid meals of minced meat and rabbit legs however she is still suckling from her mother and will continue to do for quite some time.
Her birth has been a huge accolade for the staff at Manor Park as Sumatran tigers, like Zaza are endangered species with only between 4 and 600 left on the island of Sumatra which is devastatingly low.
