Monday the 13th June saw Fishguard Netball Clubs last training session of the 2021/22 Netball season. They ended with their annual ‘PARENTS vs PLAYERS’ session.
The first session saw both Under 12’s and the 14’s teams take on friends and family in many different netball games throughout the night. Fantastic netball skills were shown as well as many family disagreements (which provided much humour to the sidelines), but a fantastic night was had by all.
The second session saw the Seniors & Under 16’s take on a volunteer makeshift mens team who came to give our girls a good run out. Competitive games from the off saw many laughs (as well as frustrations) but all in all, another brilliant session.
Through player participation and a raffle, the club managed to raise £120 on the night that will go towards the club. What a way to end the season.
Emily (O’Connor) and Rhian (Homer) would like to take this opportunity to thank all players, families, supporters for the continued and phenomenal support you give our club. It is appreciated so much by the two of us as coaches. We have had the most girls ever on our books this season, and having said goodbye to Covid protocols to having our first senior squad and to our amazing Under 12’s reaching the National Club finals, it really has been a season to remember.
