Step into Spring at Llys Y Frân – Spring Craft Fair Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th March
Spring is on its way and Llys Y Frân is celebrating by hosting its second craft fair at the visitor centre, since opening its doors in July 2021.
Following the success of the inaugural Christmas Fair, the Spring Fair will take place over two days to allow more visitors to enjoy browsing the many stalls in the visitor centre. You’ll find a fantastic variety of products on offer, with twenty stalls each day selling home accessories, jewellery, preserves and chutneys, glassware, plants, soap, candles and clothing.
New to the craft fair is Katie Eynon from Narbeth, with her handmade crochet toys and gifts, each one is made to Katie’s own pattern and has its own unique character. The ‘What Katie Did’ stall will be stocked with delightful crochet bunnies (Easter ones too!), teddy bears and a new enamel pin badge range.
There will be a gorgeous selection of creamy, bubbly, long lasting soaps on offer from Haverfordwest based Clarby Soaps and Ty Newydd Alpacas are bringing along their Welsh Alpaca wool products; experience softness like no other natural fibre! Choose from Alpaca wool socks, hats, scarves sand baby wear.
Once you’ve browsed the stalls, treat yourself to a delicious drink and cake in Lakeside Café. The Liquid Bounty Hot Chocolate is a popular choice along with the strawberry milkshake topped with fresh cream and marshmallows. Or stay for lunch and tuck into homemade lamb cawl with bread and lashings of butter or a fish finger sandwich like no other, that comes with fries and tartar sauce.
Mark Hillary, Llys y Frân Manager said “Supporting local crafters and food producers is very important to us, we want to promote the superb arts & crafts industry and food & drink producers in the local area and encourage the local community to buy locally. We have fantastic facility here at Llys y Frân and we want to bring visitors here to enjoy a variety of activities and events. There’s something to suit everyone.”
Llys y Frân Visitor Centre is open every day 10am – 4pm during winter and until 5pm from 8th April. Book your Welsh Water Adventure, whether it’s on land or on the water you’ll have a great time. Book online: https://llys-y-fran.co.uk/things-to-do/
