Calling Pembrokeshire community projects looking for funding – come and meet the people who read your application forms at this years’ PAVS Virtual Funding Fair, from Monday NOVEMBER 14th – Thursday 17th 10am – 12.00 daily.
Every year PAVS runs a funding week where projects from all over Pembrokeshire can meet Local and National funders and listen to the latest grants being explained in person by the grant officers who will be reading your project’s applications. You can ask questions and hear some excellent tips for success. Get your free tickets and see this year's line-up of funders on Online Funding Fair Eventbrite or PAVS Funding Fair 2022
The PAVS development team will host the event, introducing you to the different speakers, and outline PAVS own funds such as the recently re-opened Outdoor Connections fund. From the National Lottery Community Fund to Awards for All, our local Port of Milford Haven unveiling its new fund, to the WCVA grants and Pembrokeshire’s second home funded ‘Enhancing Pembrokeshire’ grant run by PCC. For green initiatives we have speakers from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park sharing tips for applying to their Sustainable Development Fund, and Transition Bro Gwaun helping groups benefit from their newest green grant, funded through their community wind turbine.
Many community projects and buildings are run as social enterprises, wanting to reinvest in their community or projects. Advice and answers for these groups is available from the Cwmpas team (Formerly Wales Co-operative / Social Business Wales). Speakers from Delamare Dairy Foundation and Local Giving will complete the team of friendly funders ready to give you the most up-to-date grant information this autumn as well as tips for successful applications and of course to answer all your questions!
Funders LOVE meeting the groups in person, as it helps to bring those piles of application forms to life for them. This friendly informal annual gathering of Pembrokeshire's community groups and projects with funders at PAVS’ very popular Funding Fair – is also an ideal way to hear what other projects are doing and reconnect with those you may have met at previous Funding Fairs held online, or at the Queens Hall, Narberth pre-Covid. SIGN UP early and have your questions on the ready advises the team at PAVS. To have a look at the grants ahead of the Fair- visit Funding Wales or for more information contact development@pavs.org.uk .
PAVS Virtual Funding Fair 2021 will offer more opportunities than ever for community and voluntary group participation.
Thankfully most Pembrokeshire organisations have weathered the Covid crisis and many have emerged stronger than ever and are already planning new projects.
Taking place online (via Zoom) Monday 15th to Friday 19th November, Local and National funders will provide information, answer questions and stimulate discussion. Free places can be booked on the daily sessions running from 10am to 12 noon.
PAVS will open the event on the Monday morning, setting the scene and outlining the funds that it administers – including news of a new round of the Supporting Community Action Fund to help communities meet winter pressures.
The guest spots open with local funder Port of Milford Haven which will outline its Community Fund opportunities. The Moondance Foundation will feature as the first national funder of the week, presenting a simple application process which has benefitted many Pembrokeshire groups over this past year.
Thereafter, daily talks beginning at 10am, will range from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Sustainable Development Fund to the National Lottery’s Community Fund and Enhancing Pembrokeshire to the WCVA outlining its current opportunities.
A Social Enterprise session will look at different ways of making the most of community involvement and reinvesting any surplus back into a project. The week will conclude with funding information for sports groups from Sport Pembrokeshire and news of the Tesco Community Fund.
Members of the PAVS Third Sector Support Team will be present throughout the week, helping participants log in to the ZOOM sessions and responding to enquiries. As part of the Funding Advice Service, they will provide follow up information, further guidance on appropriate funds and feedback on draft applications.
For further information, email development@pavs.org.uk To view the week’s programme of free online funding talks and to book places, please go to www.eventbrite.co.uk/ and search for ‘PAVS Virtual Funding Fair’.
