Bob Ellis of Haverfordwest is a high flyer - literally, for the former RAF and commercial pilot has built and flown his own light aircraft!
More recently he's been indulging in flights of the imagination and has composed, written and produced several albums of electronic music, each of them on a specific theme, a series of marvellous concept albums.
His latest release, titled Yesterday's News, issued under the name of Silent Gratitude, is a collection of thought provoking and moving songs on the theme of stories Bob has gathered from national newspapers, which he completed as part of his Master's Degree in Music. He uses these stories to raise important issues facing contemporary society such as mental health, loneliness, and so forth.
Bob has always composed his own fascinating music but this is the first time he has written the lyrics himself, though they are performed on the album by PWR presenters Jill and Steph.
Subscribers to the Silent Gratitude website will receive a free download of the album.
Bob was interviewed by BB Skone about the stories behind the stories! You can hear Bob chatting about them if you listen to the podcast of the BB Skone Show of Sunday 12th February.
