I’m 25 and was born and bred in Pembrokeshire. I went to Greenhill School and then Pembrokeshire College. I’m a carpenter by trade and musician by choice!
I’ve been playing guitar for a number of years and more recently have been writing my own music and lyrics. I practise my skills at open mics in Pembrokeshire and by doing the odd support gig.
I’m inspired by artists like John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Vance Joy, Harry Styles and Lewis Capaldi.
I have released my first acoustic EP containing 4 original songs which I recorded recently at Nick Swanell’s Studio 49 in Narberth.
My writing style tends to tap into my life experiences.
The song ‘Just Me’ reflects on my youth and insecurities about life.
‘Martini Tattoo’ I wrote for my girlfriend who lives about 200 miles away and reflects on how we gave each other a tattoo when we first met using a tattoo kit she had for Christmas – as you can guess the tattoo I gave her was a Martini glass!
‘ Little Robin’ is about my 7 year old sister Robyn and reflects on when she was born how she brought two families together (she’s my Dad’s daughter with his new partner). Most of us have now left for University or just flown the nest for other reasons so she’s now pretty much on her own physically but we’re all there whenever she needs us.
Finally, ‘Crossfire’ is my most recent song and is about when you're stuck in a situation and your heart is telling you to go one way and your head the other and how it makes you feel.
