Jess Ward, from Pembroke, is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who is best known as a talented harpist and who is well known on the local acoustic and folk circuits both as a solo performer and as part of Ceilidh bands playing for tympaths.
She has just released her third album, In Spiritum Sanctum, a collection of twelve original songs inspired by her new found faith - it is definitely a spiritual record but one which will have universal appeal through the themes it deals with.
Jess plays all the instruments herself - drum, harp, violin, guitar, keyboards - except for the bass, which was played by her producer Andrew Wal Coughlan. She also handles most of the vocals except a few on which she is joined by Phil James.
All the songs played this week are taken from the new album. Jess was also in conversation with BB Skone on his show of Sunday 25th June which can be heard on catch up.
The album is available as a hard copy from Jess's gigs or online at Bandcamp.
