It's been a month of celebrations for the team at Pure West Radio, in Pembrokeshire!
Hot on the heels of the news that PWR has been awarded the licence to broadcast DAB services to west Wales the station has also won a prestigious award and now is Wales Prestige Wales Radio Station of the Year.
Prestige Wales is available to around 30,000 readers across Wales who nominate their favourite businesses in variety of categories.
Pure West Radio has a team of 65 - a mix of volunteers and paid-staff - that provides a comprehensive and varied programme of shows and outside broadcasts covering Pembrokeshire and other parts of West Wales.
Its commercial community radio station business model has been recognised as sustainable and attractive to advertisers and the wider community in Pembrokeshire and Pure West Radio is one of the most trusted media brands in the region.
"This is fantastic news," said Toby Ellis, Station Manager. "We know that we are doing a great job keeping the people of Pembrokeshire entertained and informed - but it's lovely to be recognised officially.
"Being Prestige Wales Radio Station of the Year has given us all at Pure West Radio a great boost - we've got a lot of hard work ahead of us as we get ready for our DAB launch, so it's good to know that other people recognise the quality of what we do! I'm so proud of the team and the work they do for Pembrokeshire."
