A website which helps people to continue to live independently in west Wales has gone live.
The West Wales Care Partnership has launched the living made easy website - https://wwcp.livingmadeeasy.org.uk/ - which allows members of the public to ask a question and receive links to information and resources to help them.
The website is on the AskSARA network, an award-winning, online self-help guide.
For example an older person who may have difficulty going to the shops can click the button for shopping, driving and transport and fill out a short survey about their specific requirements.
This will then create a personalised report with advice tailored to the answers given, links to items and equipment which may assist and signposting to further support and organisations.
This report can be saved and shared with family, friends and care workers.
If a further assessment of an individual’s specific needs is needed this is recommended.
Pembrokeshire County Council Cabinet Member for Social Care, Cllr Tessa Hodgson, said: “I am delighted to see this information-packed resource go live. Please take a look and recommend the website to anyone you believe may benefit from it.
“We know how important it is for people to be able to continue living well and independently and this website will provide plenty of information on a whole host of situations to ensure that those who require a little assistance know where to find it.”
Funding from the Regional Integration Fund (RIF), has enabled the West Wales Care Partnership to create the website.
