Angelfish are a Pembroke based Indie-rock band who have just released their latest album, Retail Therapy, which was recorded at Nick Swannell's, Studio 49 in Narberth.
It is an exciting collection of old songs re-worked and new ones, all written by the band's rhythm guitarist, occasional keyboardist, and lead singer Richard Lloyd. Richard Lloyd is an amazing lyricist and the band's music is powerful, melodic, and quirky.
Other band members are John Davies - guitar/mandolin/ keyboards (who also plays with jump jive band the Numbers Racket), Nick Barnet - drums (who also plays with covers band the Candy Skulls), Gary Price - bass guitar, and Fat Barry - strings.
The album is available to download and stream on the usual platforms and also as a hard copy. The hard copy is being given away FREE from Main Street Music and My Generation - both shops in Pembroke. Though it is asked you give a donation to a charity of your choice. An admirable sentiment, and rather suitable for an album called Retail Therapy! It's worth getting the hard copy because the artwork and photography, by Justin Griffiths, is stunning.
