A music producer, recording engineer, and arranger is as much as an artist as any musician - more so in some cases when that producer makes the musician sound better. So it is with Owain Fleetwood Jenkins, the man with the magic ears, who produces superb sounds in his state of the art studio, the lovingly renovated Carmel Chapel, Clarbeston, called, what else but StudiOwz. He works there with his partner, renowned singer/songwriter Jodie Marie.
Owain is a perfectionist in all he does and musicians flock to his studio from all over the UK. This week we feature some of the local artists he has recorded there -
Funktion 22 : '9 to 5' - an amazing reworking of the Dolly Parton classic by a funky party band
The Lucky 12: 'Happy' - sweet acoustic sounds from the Tenby acoustic trio.
Rudi: 'Cover Your Eyes' - latest release from St Davids based indie-rocker
Josh Beddis: 'The River' - Pembroke Dock based Cymru & Western star - but who's on backing vocals?
Jodie Marie: 'Eye of the Storm' - Owain's partner with a beautiful track from her new Polar Night EP.
I See Rivers: 'Play It Cool' - Scandinavian float folk trio one of whom, Eline, now works at StudiOwz
