Garbage or carbage? Who's spotted these rally cars as they journey through Pembrokeshire?
All eyes are on the roads of Pembrokeshire this week as Carbage 2024 gets underway, attracting cars which are classed as 'nothing less than junk'.
Over 200 vehicles, mainly Dutch, are currently travelling around Wales and England in vehicles which have cost less than 500 Euros and which must be at least 15 years old. During their five-day road trip, the vehicles are being given some awkward challenges which include finding a man named Ben, and ensuring that said man is delivered to Tenby by 8pm.
This week the cars, which are covered in stickers and lights, have been spotted all over Pembrokeshire and south Ceredigion.
Organisers state that the rally, which was launched in the Netherlands in 2008, with its first run taking place in 2009, is not about speed but about the the way in which the motorists can adapt and enjoy the challenges that await them during their journey.
In the 25 years since its inception, the rally has seen a significant increase in participants; the first rally had 64 cars on the starting grid while today, it can attract over 1,000 vehicles.
If you've spotted these amazing vehicles as they journey through Pembrokeshire or Ceredigion, please send us your photos in the comments.
