Saltwater is an acoustic trio from Saundersfoot. They are Steve Whiddett, Peter Robinson, and Allen Jones who met when performing at various Open Mics in the area. All three men play guitar and sing. Their set comprises a mix of covers and originals with Peter and Allen contributing to most of the songwriting which aften deals with matters local to Pembrokeshire, such as Shoreline & Coalmine which examines Saundersfoot's rich (but perhaps not so well known) industrial heritage.
Their music is rooted in the Blues but also touches base with folk, pop, and rock. When they cover a song, such as Bob Dylan's All Along The Watchtower, they give it their unique Saltwater twist. That twist usually involves lovely harmonies and passionate guitar.
All the songs played this week were recorded at Nick Swannell's Studio 49 in Narberth.
Saltwater appeared on the BB Skone Show of Sunday 4th August which can be heard on Catch-up.
