Man sentenced for trespassing on Haverfordwest railway line
A man has been sentenced after being found trespassing on the railway line at Haverfordwest train station.
Regan Boswell, 51, was caught by police officers on June 29 as he attempted to make his way across the tracks.
He was arrested and conveyed to Haverfordwest police station where he proceeded to assault two officers and cause criminal damage to a police cell.
This week Boswell, of no fixed abode, appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates where he pleaded guilty to all offences. He was further charged with assaulting a woman by beating on July 5. Once again he submitted a guilty plea.
After considering the facts, magistrates sentenced Boswell to ten weeks in custody on each of the three assaults which will run concurrently with each other. He was sentenced to an additional four weeks in custody for causing criminal damage at the police station. The prison sentences were suspended for two years.
Boswell must carry out 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and a 120-day alcohol abstinence monitoring programme. He was fined £50 and must pay £170 in costs, a £154 surcharge and £166 compensation for the damage caused at Haverfordwest police station.
