New six-part crime drama finishes filming in Pembroke Dock
A new Welsh drama has finished its Pembrokeshire shoot following 12-months of filming in and around Pembroke Dock.
'Cleddau/The One That Got Away' is a six-part crime drama starring Richard Harrington, who played DCI Tom Mathias in the popular BBC Series Hinterland, and Elen Rhys who plays DI Ffion Lloyd.
During the series the couple use their respective policing skills to hunt the killer of a nurse in Pembroke Dock, whilst tackling the prospect of a possible copycat killer. The shocking murder opens up old wounds in a small town community, and throws a historic conviction into doubt. It also raises the horrifying prospect of a copycat killer.
The drama is written by Catherine Tregenna , who wrote The Bench, Law & Order UK, Lewis and DCI Banks, while its director is Carmarthenshire-born Sion Ifan.
The series, which is produced by Blacklight in collaboration with Banijay Rights and supported by Creative Wales, is a Welsh language production which will be broadcast on S4C later this year. An English language version will also be produced and both will be distributed globally.
"It's been so exciting to create and write my own series and share it with S4C audiences as that's where my television career began," said Catherine Treganna. "It's a privilege to write in the voice and accents that are part of my childhood and bring to bear what I've learnt in over 25 years of crime thrillers."
