The VC Gallery Spreads Holiday Cheer with Big Christmas Lunch for Over 100 People
The VC Gallery brought festive joy to the community today by hosting their much-anticipated Big Christmas Lunch, serving over 100 guests in a single sitting. This heartwarming event was made possible by the dedication of volunteers, including Chris McEwen, an RAF veteran and the proud owner of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Boxing Club, who took on the role of chef for the day and the Mayor of Pembroke Ann Mortenson.
The Big Christmas Lunch is just one of many initiatives by The VC Gallery, which provides a welcoming space for veterans, individuals with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and anyone in need of support or connection. Every week, the charity runs a variety of activities to foster inclusion and well-being, making a lasting impact on the lives of those in the community.
“We’re thrilled to have brought people together for this special meal,” said Stephanie Cross, manager from The VC Gallery. “It’s wonderful to see the community united, sharing good food and company during the festive season.”
The spirit of giving and community doesn’t stop here—The VC Gallery will also open its doors on Christmas Day to welcome anyone who would like to spend the holiday with them. Guests are encouraged to book in advance, and transport can be arranged to ensure everyone has the opportunity to join in the celebrations.
