There have been major delays on the A477 this afternoon after a car burst into flames between Redberth and Broadmoor.
The car, which was travelling eastbound, caught fire at around 3 pm this afternoon, Tuesday, July 30.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance and witnesses reported that the blaze was brought under control soon after 4 pm.
The fire has resulted in significant traffic delays for motorists.
"The traffic holdup was definitely easing by around 4 pm and the flames have been extinguished, although fire tenders are still at the scene," commented one of the motorists who witnessed the fire.
"Traffic is returning to normal, but sadly the car appears to have been burnt out."
