Pembrokeshire to host UK Waterski Racing Championships
Neyland will be putting Pembrokeshire’s waterski enthusiasts firmly on the map this autumn when the final round of the UK Waterski Racing Championships takes to its waters on September 14 and 15.
The championships will see all of the UK teams going head-to-head, to battle for the championship podium positions.
This is the second consecutive year that the UK Championships will be held in Neyland.
UK Waterski Racing describes itself as a ‘trailblazing' collective of ski clubs that bring enthusiasts together for training sessions as well as top ranking competitions, such as the Neyland championships in September.
The sport combines a fusion of motorsport and athletic prowess revolving around a team of three, comprising a boat driver, a communicator and the skier.
Each team member will compete against others to complete as many laps as possible within the allocated race time.
The main race, lasting 30 minutes, gives an opportunity for seasoned skiers to showcase their skills alongside some of the UK’s best.
