Niall Hooper is 24 and from north Pembrokeshire. He has been working on an EP for roughly 10 months. The first single "Played Like a Pawn" came out on the 6th July 2023, followed by a second single "Company Board" on the 10th January 2024, with the full six track EP released on 22nd January 2024.
Most of his inspiration comes from moving out of Pembrokeshire to West Scotland for work and missing Pembrokeshire. The Welsh term, Hiraeth, describes well how he feels and his music has a strong emotional and patriotic feel to it.
Niall told BB Skone that "The EP is about the journey from Wales to Scotland and all the cultural, physical and emotional battles I have faced along the way. I really enjoy telling stories so you’ll find a lot of my lyrics describe a journey, a feeling or an event".
