Activity Wales Events Makes a Splash with Significant Donation to Sea Trust
Supporting Marine Conservation and Education in West Wales
Activity Wales Events, a leading organizer of triathlons, sporting events, and adventure challenges across Wales, has announced a vital donation to Sea Trust, a Pembrokeshire-based marine conservation charity. This contribution reflects Activity Wales Events’ commitment to supporting environmental causes that impact the communities and natural ecosystems across Wales, where so many of its events take place. The donation is made up of both athlete support when registering, and the LCW Legacy programme, which supports vital community and child initiatives across the county.
The donation will help fund Sea Trust’s various programs focused on protecting marine life and promoting awareness of local and global marine conservation issues. This includes vital dolphin and porpoise monitoring projects, public education on marine biodiversity, and interactive experiences that inspire residents and visitors to become stewards of the sea. As a volunteer-driven organization, Sea Trust relies heavily on community support and partnerships with local businesses to sustain its work in marine conservation.
“We are thrilled to support Sea Trust in its mission to protect and preserve the marine life that makes Wales such a unique and beautiful place to live and explore,” said Matthew Evans, CEO of Activity Wales Events. “As an organization that is so connected to the outdoors, we understand the importance of preserving our natural environment for future generations and for the people who call this region home. We would also like to thank our athletes and the local communities that we race in for their continued support.”
Sea Trust’s work is critical in raising awareness of local environmental issues and in preserving the natural beauty that drives tourism and community well-being in West Wales. The organization regularly engages in educational outreach, empowering people of all ages to appreciate and protect marine habitats. With Activity Wales Events’ support, Sea Trust will be able to expand its volunteer initiatives, community engagement, and hands-on conservation efforts that help preserve Pembrokeshire’s marine ecosystem.
“The Sea Trust team is very grateful for Activity Wales Events’ annual support from their Challenge Wales Race. The donation goes directly towards our local marine conservation, research, and education, working to protect Wales’s incredible marine life by engaging local people. As a small charity, we heavily rely on donations, and hugely appreciate any support given.” – Nadia Tomsa, Projects Manager at Sea Trust Wales.
This partnership is another step in Activity Wales Events’ ongoing commitment to sustainability and community engagement. With shared values of environmental stewardship, both organizations look forward to a continued collaboration to support Wales’ coastline and marine habitats.
