Saturday16th November 2024 -Production Skills Workshops
The Queens Hall Narberth and Narberth Youth Theatre present another series of skills-based workshops for young people. This is an open invitation to young musicians, actors and creatives interested in a career in music, stage and TV/ Film.
The practical sessions give young people an overview to what it is like to be working in the industry, technical history and technical knowledge… no previous experience necessary. The ‘have a go workshop…’ is definitely immersive, and is all about bright lights and making some noise.
Each session will be 2 hours long, and open to those aged 11-18. See events list below.
LIGHTING DESIGN Workshop – 10.00-12noon
A skills-based workshop about LIGHTING an event, show or place. This is rare treat for any young person to participate in, and learn about how to light up a space for a music or stage event.
Demonstrations, talks and creative activities have been planned. Sign up and get up close to the equipment used in the venue. The workshop has been designed for young producers and creators of stage, music and film.
Led by the Queens Hall Narberth Technical Manager and facilitated by Narberth Youth Theatre.
SOUND DESIGN Workshop – 1.00-3.00pm
A skills-based workshop about creating and managing SOUND at an event, show or place. This is hands on experience for young people to get up close and make some noise. Designed for young producers and creators of stage, music and film.
Led by Adam Wilkinson Sound Engineer associated with The Queens Hall Narberth and facilitated by Narberth Youth Theatre.
Workshop fees: £10.00 each workshop
Spaces are limited. Suitable for ages 11-18 years.
