The Mayor of Milford Haven, Cllr William Elliott BA QTS and the Christmas Together Committee are delighted to announce the launch of Christmas Together 2024.
Now in it’s thirteenth year, the event will once again be held on 25thDecember at Pill Social Centre, Cellar Hill, Milford Haven SA73 2QT(www.pillsocialcentre.org.uk) for anyone who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day, for some the loneliest day of the year.
Christmas Together will commence at 11am and include carols, a quiz and Bingo along with a three course Christmas lunch all provided for free in an environment of friendship and companionship. The day will end at approximately 5pm. Free transport should also be possible for those who would otherwise not be able to attend.
Cllr William Elliott stated, ‘As Mayor of Milford Haven it is my absolute pleasure to host Christmas Together this year. The event was originally the idea of Cllr Guy Woodham when he was Mayor. Sadly, due to ill health, Cllr Woodham has had to step back from running this year’s event and I am honoured as Mayor this year to step in and help ensure Christmas Together 2024 is another great success.’
Cllr Guy Woodham, founder and Chair of Christmas Together commented, ‘While a great disappointment to me that I am not able to be involved in running Christmas Together this year, I am delighted that the Mayor and his Consort, Lloyd Jones, have agreed to host this year’s event. Alongside Cllr Colin Sharp, Christmas Together Committee Member and Chair of the Pill Social Centre, the other Committee Members and the fantastic Christmas Together volunteers I am sure that those attending on Christmas Day will once again have a happy, enjoyable and memorable Christmas Day filled with laughter, fun and above all companionship.’
Those wishing to attend Christmas Together 2024 as a guest or volunteer have until Wednesday, 18th December to secure a space by requesting a guest or volunteer application form from Cllr William Elliott, Christmas Together 44, Bunkers Hill, Milford Haven SA73 1AG; Email: christmastogether@hotmail.co.uk or by telephoning: 07747 141019
