Carew Castle, one of Pembrokeshire’s most ghostly landmarks, is preparing for an unforgettable Halloween experience this half-term, with a variety of thrilling events for all ages. From spine-tingling ghost tours to immersive storytelling adventures, this award-winning historic site offers something for everyone during the spooky season.
TheSorcerer’s Quest invites younger visitors to explore the Castle grounds in search of hidden magical items. Those who find them all will earn the title of Master Sorcerer. The quest will run from Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November, from 10am to 4pm, and costs £2 per child, plus standard admission fees.
For those seeking a spookier adventure, the Creepy Mill returns, inviting brave souls to enter the Tidal Mill and navigate through its dark, eerie corridors. With plenty of surprises lurking in the shadows, this haunted house experience is recommended for ages 4 and up, with parental discretion advised. Included free with normal admission, it will be open from Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November. Children must be supervised at all times.
Families can also enjoy a Halloween Ghost Tour, where they’ll hear spine-chilling stories of ghostly sightings and eerie encounters as they traverse the castle. Scheduled from Monday 28 October until Thursday 31 October, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, tickets are priced at £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for children aged 5 and up.
