Pembroke Power Station Sports and Social Club first ever Childrens Skittles Day
On July 27th, Pembroke Power Station Sports and Social Club held its first ever Childrens Skittles Day. They held two competitions, one for sticker uppers (the person who puts the skittles up after the players have knocked them down in league games) and one for juniors (for anyone 16 and under).
The Sticker Upper Champion 2024 was Grace (aged 11), with 49.
The Junior Champion 2024 was Imogen (aged 15), with 65.
Today, we welcomed Ms Angela Dowson, a Senior Nurse in Pallative Dementia Care for Marie Curie in Hywel Dda (Pembrokeshire), to officially hand over the money we raised... £240.
This was a free event for the children to take part in to say thank you to the sticker uppers for their hard work this year and so the youngsters of the club can have a day just for them - even the choice of charity was their idea, they all selected one that meant something to them and then voted on them.
The money we raised wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for our raffle, so massive thank you to all the local businesses that donated to make this possible, and to Angela for taking time out of her busy day to come and see us.
