St Francis Catholic Primary School in Milford Haven take part in 'THE BIG LENT WALK' for CAFOD
During Lent all staff, children and families at St Francis Catholic Primary School in Milford Haven have been taking part in 'THE BIG LENT WALK' for CAFOD, where we have been walking 200km! We conducted our walks during our Forest Fridays sessions each Friday between Friday 7th March and Friday 4th March. Walks included going around our local area, exploring the miniature railway, a litter pick around the Meads Leisure centre area, using equipment loaned from Keep Wales Tidy, and a celebration walk on Friday 4th March where the whole school walked through Milford down to the Rath to meet our families and friends. Due to the weather we unfortunately couldn't enjoy a picnic whilst there but the children did celebrate their walking achievements with an ice lolly treat whilst resting in the Water Gardens!
Each donation can change lives. Every £1 raised through the Big Lent Walk will help fight poverty globally in countries all over the world. St Francis School have so far raised £420 surpassing their original target of £150.
