Local Artist of the Week: ADWAITH -- In the lead up to St Davids Day it is appropriate to feature a band that sings predominantly in Welsh. So here is Adwaith. An indie-rock band from Carmarthen who started out playing in their spiritual home, Cwrw in that town, Welsh music prize winners Adwaith have just released their third album, Solas, on Carmarthen's iconic Libertino label. It is a double album of 23 tracks and is their finest yet, with a myriad of influences incorporated into their signature sound that is already receiving great critical and popular acclaim.
Adwaith have already toured widely and have just sold out the Lyric Theatre in their home town. They are also regular visitors to Pembrokeshire and on their last visit to Narberth's Queens Hall they had a most entertaining interview with BB Skone. Expect to see them at lots of festivals this year.
