Sister Bodhi is a duo of two fine singer, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists: Jodie Marie, from Narberth, now living in Clarbeston at the amazing recording studio, StudioOwz, in the refurbished Carmel chapel, she has created with her partner Owain Fleetwood Jenkins, and Bella Collins, "The Queen of Welsh Blues" from Cardiff.
They first performed together at a late night jam session at Tenby Blues Festival. Everyone was amazed at how well they sang together and festival progammer, our own BB Skone, was so impressed he offered them a main stage slot the following year if they formed a band. Thus Sister Bodhi began. They received a standing ovation at the end of their set. They still perform occasionally today even though both women have their own successful solo careers.
The songs chosen this week are a mix of studio and live recordings. When BB was 'let go' by a certain radio station, and before he began working with the freedom he desired at Pure West Radio, he began a series of video podcasts called "In Session with BB Skone", filmed by the talented Sharron Harris of Pembroke's Curious Ostrich Productions. The links to these shows can be found at the Pembrokeshire Music Past Facebook page.
