Public meeting to discuss River and Sea Water -Quality Issues in the Newport and surrounding area.

At the Memorial Hall Newport on Thursday the 21^st March 2024 6.00 – 8.00pm.

They anticipate the meeting will focus around River and Sea Water quality in the local area.

Suggested areas that participants may wish to address.

1. Sea water quality with regard to DCWW spills.
2. Cwm Pumping station.
3. CSO discharges.
4. Sea water quality with regard to run off from the land.
5. Bathing water quality as tested at Traeth mawr.
6. How is open water swimming affected.
7. Surfers against Sewage campaign.
8. The Clean project.
9. The effect of water quality on the Sea Trust.
10. The effects of agriculture on water quality.
11. Beach management.
12. Tourism.

These are suggestions only and participants are welcome to put forward their own ideas.

There will be 5 to 10 mins allocated to each speaker allowing plenty of time for questions at the end.
