About Michael Camm

What do you do at Pure West Radio?

Presenter

How did you get into radio?

I visited my local hospital radio station with a group from 6th form at school and got involved. Firstly by going round the hospital collecting patient requests then playing them on the request show and from there to presenting other shows. I won't say how long ago but it was in the last century.

Where is your favourite place to visit in Pembrokeshire?

West Dale, and the coast path between West Dale beach and St Ann's Head.

Who is your hero?

Musically, Jimmy Cliff. Inspirational person, fantastic music and a positive outlook on most things.

What is your biggest fear?

Not being able to do everything I want to do.

Where is your favourite place to visit in the world?

The South Island of New Zealand, beautiful scenery and not too many people.

What would you change about yourself if you could?

Maybe having more self control when the biscuits come out, it's hard to say no to chocolate hobnobs.

What makes you really angry?

I try not to get angry about things but I'm not happy with people who are walking in front of me and then suddenly just stop for no reason.

What motivates you to work hard?

Proving that I can do well whatever it is I'm doing.

What is your favourite thing about your life?

I'm generally happy with how it's all turned out and wouldn't change much.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Finding that I could talk for a living.

Who is the most famous person you've met?

I met Liz Dawn a few times who was Vera Duckworth on Corrie for years, very funny person and down to earth. Many moons ago I interviews Little & Large, does that count?

One thing people might be surprised to know about you?

I worked as a tour guide in France. They said go down for a month to see how I got on and I stayed 27 years.
