New Chairman for Pembrokeshire County Council

The new Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council is Councillor Pat Davies, who represents Fishguard North West.
Cllr Davies, previously the Authority’s Vice-Chairman, was installed at today’s Annual meeting of Council at County Hall in Haverfordwest.

Knife-point robber jailed for five years

A man who robbed a woman at knifepoint has started a five-year prison sentence just one month after the attack.
Kieran Steven Brumby admitted holding a knife to the woman’s throat and demanding the £160 she was withdrawing from a cashpoint at Asda in Pembroke Dock at around 7.45pm on April 15.

Become a Force for Nature with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust

A popular mini-grant scheme run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust is open once again for applications.
Last year, 10 local non-profit groups received Force for Nature mini-grants of up to £500 for projects with a positive environmental impact, including a community wildflower meadow and bug hotel in the village of Summerhill, biodiversity improvements at the Slash Pond Boardwalk in Broad Haven and a sensory garden at Ysgol Harri Tudur.
