The Pater Hall Trust

The Pater Hall Trust has had its famous iron gates wide open since November. Warrior Warm Rooms has been a wonderful initiative for both community and volunteers alike. Pavs have assisted with support and advice to us and the Warrior Warn Room guests and likewise fellow local 'Warm Rooms' volunteers have been regular visitors. The support within Pembroke Dock with the collaboration of so many venues has been humbling.

Disability Swimming Gala makes a splash

Sport Pembrokeshire were delighted to hold the Pembrokeshire Schools Disability Swimming Gala recently, having not held the event since 2020.
Sponsored by Stena Line, the event saw more than 50 swimmers taking part from Portfield School, Ysgol Glannau Gwaun, Ysgol Bro Gwaun, Greenhill School, Ysgol Harri Tudur and Lamphey Primary School, in 29 races.

Crymych Rugby Club is delighted to announce that they have raised an impressive £30,000 for the Owen James Fund, which will go towards supporting a local 6-year-old boy with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. Pitt Hopkins is a rare, genetic, neurological disorder that has a range of symptoms attached to it.

A Pembroke Dock man has been jailed for breaching a Court Order imposed after he was convicted of multiple animal welfare charges in a case brought by Pembrokeshire County Council

Sean Burns of Rose Hill Lodge, Bramble Hall, Ferry Lane, Pembroke Dock, appeared in Court on Thursday March 2nd and was sentenced to eight months in prison.

A man from Essex who picked up cash and gold earlier that day, a ‘courier’ arrived at their home to collect this third package. The total value of the gold collected on 16th November was £9,450.06.
Thereafter contact with “DCI Stewart” ceased and on 22nd November the victim had a sudden realisation they had been the victim of a fraud and reported it to Dyfed-Powys Police.

Big progress made on charity’s Oral History Project

Paul Sartori Foundations ‘Oral History Project’ hosted its latest community event at Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre and announced it has already completed 25 interviews. Not much is known about the man who inspired the charity, and the project aims to put that right by carrying out interviews with people who knew him more than 40 years ago.
