Three Milford Haven Karate Club members cemented their place among the best in the UK at the WUKF British Championships in Dundee this month.
Josh Whatling, 20, Gethin Adams, 15, and Connor John, 14, all represented Wales all came away with medals. Josh fought superbly in the 85kg event and secured a silver medal by winning his semi final, but cruelly picked up a broken nose in the process and missed out on a chance to compete for gold. He also took bronze in the men’s senior team event.

Young people interested in the region’s renewable energy future have visited Pembroke Port to see first-hand how major investment to modernise port infrastructure will enable South West Wales to take full advantage of floating offshore wind developments in the Celtic Sea, and other renewable energy and decarbonisation initiatives, expected to create thousands of new job opportunities.
Successful pub charity prize draw
The people of Pembrokeshire are so generous when it comes to charity fundraising, especially around Christmas time, as The Alma Inn, in Pembroke Dock recently found out. On Boxing Day they held their annual charity prize draw. This year they chose to support Paul Sartori Foundation, who provide a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness, including home nursing care and equipment loan.
